AFRITECTURE, sustainable architecture in Africa

AFRITECTURE is an exhibition about sustainable architecture in Africa that you can visit at the Museum of Architecture at the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich.

The exhibition samples 28 social buildings (schools , clinics, hospitals , cultural centers , sports facilities ) built in Africa in which African, European and American architects, have worked with future users of the buildings.

The buildings are designed as sustainable architecture, applying the latest technologies with local materials , achieving high efficiency and good quality results.

The exhibition is walking barefoot on a platform made from recycled cardboard where the project described in the vertical display advertised. In the route seats and tables made from recycled cardboard show the models of the projects. In vertical exhibitors the panels are combined with minipantallas with videos where visitors can learn about the experiences of architects and local residents who have been involved in the implementation of projects .
